Having just arrived home after a two month vacation in Mexico, getting to work in my studio was on the top of my mind. Two images that seemed to haunt me were that of crows and the pears. The crow is fashioned after many I saw at a rest stop in the Tehachapi Mountains, Tejon Pass, California. We snapped dozens of pictures of crows while eating breakfast. The pears, well they just happened to be in season and my husband just loves them. They were sitting in my big, pottery fruit bowl. I just knew those pears would make it to my art work.
