Journal quilting helped me move closer to finding my voice as an artist. I realized that I obtain more joy from making quilts, which have true meaning to me, rather than just an object of beauty. I adore bright, saturated colors, enjoy more abstract shapes and like an abundance of thread painting. I have learned more about myself as an artist. Taking slow, little steps out of my “box” has proved to be very exciting and rewarding. I began to show my work, formed a local fibre arts group, took my first quilting workshop and joined a regional quilt group this year. Thank you journal quilt supporters!
