Poppies, from fresh young buds to aging seed pods, hold a certain allure which captures my mind and my soul. Poppies are beautiful at all stages and all ages. We, as humans, have to struggle with these passages of time. We do not see ourselves holding on to the beauty of our youth. Like these papavers we do age well and hold our glamour into old age, however, a different kind of beauty. We can look forward, without fear, to the shape of things to come.
