The intent of Nest Building was to show that man has a dominant roll in the environment. It is in our hands, we have the power to act as stewards. The birds were dye painted and then appliqued. The chiffon feathers show the delicate frailty of nature. The tight machine stitching reflects feathers and mandalas.
