Nature holds the ability to inspire me - with its ever changing palette and complexity of color. Environmental concerns haunt me - global warming, dwindling fish stalks and bird populations, the depletion of rain forests along with all the plants and creatures. These creatures and their habitat are my focus. Spirituality and the ethereal intertwine with nature and its concerns to become part of my creative spirit.

Creating art was my solace as a child. Now my artistic pursuits are like a compulsion that is only soothed by creating with textiles. The texture of fabric with its bold palette can be manipulated into expressing thoughts and feelings. The use of dyes, inks, paints, watercolor crayons and surface design techniques further cultivates this communication.

My quilts are characterized by elaborate, flowing machine quilting, often enhanced with a medley of beads or other embellishments. Their vibrant colors are complimented with distinct, brightly textured line. Planned with forethought, completed spontaneously, my work reflects nature and spirit dancing together.
